Holden Ski Pants
After trying tons of snow pants and bibs from all different brands, I started to get curious about the designer ski wear market.
You can find all my previous ski pant reviews here for reference.
In general, everything about skiing is pretty pricey. So with ‘regular’ ski pants ranging from $150-300, I was curious if spending a little bit more on luxury skiwear would make a visible (and functional) difference.
I’ve taken several ski trips so far and have a couple more planned this year, so I figured investing in one incredible pair of ski pants might be worth it.
But are designer ski pants just for looks? Or do they hold up to all day activity on the slopes…
Here’s my review of the Holden softshell ski pants.

ADVERTISEMENT Holden is an American ski brand based in Venice, California. There’s not much info about them, but they seem to be a modern performance brand that makes fashionable ski clothes. What I liked was the company makes an effort to blend luxury materials with sustainable principles. ADVERTISEMENT I ordered one pair of ski pants and one ski bib to try, and both were made of Bluesign approved fabrics. Bluesign is a sustainable manufacturing designation that signifies clothes are made in safe work environments. It also means the products have been made in facilities that reduce their manufacturing impact on the environment. Here are my thoughts on the Holden high-waisted ski pants. ADVERTISEMENT Holden’s high waisted ski pants are designed to be sleek and slimming. They have a shiny finish that makes them look almost like leather or metallic leggings, and would look great on the mountain. There’s tons of stretch in these skinny ski pants too – not only is it made from a four-way stretchy neoprene fabric, there’s also a stretchy panel in the back waistband so that it hugs your waist nicely. I do think Holden’s ski pants run slightly small. I ordered these in an XS but should have got a small! ADVERTISEMENT These high-waisted pants fit like a legging. They’re waterproof, breathable and fleece lined for extra warmth. I like the unique O-ring zipper design that Holden uses – it makes these look like regular pants instead of traditional ski pants! One small complaint is that the label notes these should be hand washed. Most snow pants can be thrown in a washing machine, so it’s a little inconvenient that these can’t as well. ADVERTISEMENT Sometimes skinny ski pants don’t come with pockets. The Holden ones have two zippered side pockets on the front, so they’re super functional. I picked up the black color, but they also come in a slightly metallic anthracite grey, if you’re looking for something different! ADVERTISEMENT Holden gives off more of a fashionable, urban vibe to me, with their sleek materials and bold logos. The back of the ski pants legs have zippers, to expand the pants to fit over your boots. The zippers themselves are lined with the Holden logo, which is a fun accent from behind. Like all great ski pants, they have flared legs and boot cuffs to keep out snow and moisture from your boots. Overall, these are a really fashionable pair of ski pants – perfect if you’re someone who likes an easy run in the morning followed by happy hour and the apres-scene. ADVERTISEMENT Overall, I thought Holden’s skinny ski pants were super sleek and flattering. If you’re looking for a fashionable ski outfit, you should check these ski pants out!
