Winter in New York City can be pretty miserable.
But, ever since I tried skiing for the first time, I’ve had a new perspective on the season!
I took my first ski trip to Stowe, Vermont with some friends and then went on another ski trip closer to the city, at Belleayre Mountain in the Catskills. So I finally decided to invest in a great pair of ski pants.

Cute Ski Pants
I must have tried nearly every skiwear brand out there.
Since you’re looking at ~$200 for a pair of snow pants, I didn’t want to buy just anything. I was hoping for something flattering, waterproof, breathable and long lasting!
Here’s a try-on haul and review of snow pants and bibs that I tried, from popular outdoor gear brands like The North Face to ski and snowboard specific brands like Obermeyer and Burton.
