The New York City Marathon was held earlier this month and it seems like #TCSNYCMARATHON has been all over social media. Personally, I dislike running and couldn’t be forced to run a race for the life of me, but the race bug has definitely gotten “big” over the last couple years. For anyone looking to get a good jog in, the Central Park Reservoir has a dedicated jogging path where you can get your workout in alongside some gorgeous scenery. It’s always busy but not too crowded, and the 1.58 mile route is wide enough that both walkers and hardcore runners can fit comfortably. Me, I’ll be there to just enjoy the scenery :)
After all the walking / running, I like to pop over to a nearby coffee shop and have a chai latte. They’re perfect for fall and have a spicy, cinnamon-y taste without an overdose of caffeine. Around the central park reservoir, Bluestone Lane is a good choice. Joe’s also has an outpost or you can make your own! (i get my favorite authentic indian chai tea via amazon).
