The Best Modest Swimsuits, If Skimpy + Cheeky Isn’t For You

Boden is a classically English brand, with some outstanding swimwear. 

In particular, i love how they make timeless prints and fun color blocking swimsuits in tons of different styles, so that you can find the exact amount of coverage that suits you best.

From rashguards to tankinis, one pieces and bikinis, Boden offers lots of flexibility in finding cute, modest swimwear.

Our personal favorite is the Santorini, a body sculpting and supportive swimsuit with just the right amount of paneling to conceal and flatter. It comes with a secure halterneck, lightly padded cups and a full coverage bottom.

The quality, for the price, is incredible!

Athleta makes great sporty swimwear, perfect for those who want full coverage that stays in place for swimming, surfing, jet skiing – active water sports!

The GAP fit brand makes modest swimsuits in all different styles, but this high neckline, sporty tankini set is particularly stunning.

Not only is this tankini set full coverage, it’s made from a recycled nylon fabric that dries quickly and is ultra resilient to snap back into shape and last longer.

What we really like is that the fabric also includes sun protection, with UPF 50+! 

Lands’ End is a great brand if you’re looking for modest swimsuits for the whole family. They have girls, boys, mens and womens swimsuits in a variety of styles and more traditional solid colors and prints. It’s one of the few brands where you can buy swim skirts, swim dresses, swim shorts and leggings.

The prices are very affordable too! 

We like this long sleeve rash guard, that comes with built in sun protection and is made from a lightweight extra soft fabric, with breathable stretch.

Lands’ End also makes swimsuits in petite, tall and plus size so it’s size inclusive as well!

Marysia makes beautiful luxury swimwear in a recognizable scalloped style. 

We love this two pieced set that looks stylish but offers more coverage than traditional bikini brands and is extremely comfortable to wear.

The scalloped bikini top has wide straps, a smooth under band and full coverage on top. Meanwhile, the high rise bikini briefs are cut to sit at the natural waistline and also provide full coverage.

While the brand is a bit pricier than others on this list, it’s simple modest suits are one of the most stylish out there!

Dress designer Karla Colletto makes some truly fabulous swimsuits.

Her swim is all made in-house, with a particular focus on functional support and fantastic fit. All of the styles tend to flatter the waist and provide a bit more coverage without sacrificing style.

Take for example, this high neck one piece. We love the wide strap, tank style design and d ring waist belt. It looks simple, but drapes on the body perfectly while still providing full coverage bottoms!
