Does this travel hair dryer have right voltage to work during my vacation to Europe or Asia? Is it foldable, compact, and lightweight? These are questions I kept asking myself when I was searching for the best travel hair dryer on the market, and I wanted to share my finds with you.
1. Philips 3-Speed Essential Travel Hair Dryer
This travel hair dryer from Philips has pretty much everything you could want in a travel hair dryer and then some. While its foldable handle and nifty storage hook means the DryCare can fit in any nook or cranny, its incredible 71 inch cord provides maximum flexibility during use.
Plus, with dual voltage capability, this travel hair dyer is functional right at home, in Europe, or anywhere in the world! At 1600 watts the DryCare model is meant for gentle drying, but this plus its aerodynamic cone design means its one of the quietest travel hair dryers on the market.
Whether you’re backpacking and staying in a hostel or taking your entire family out for a well-deserved vacation, this hair dryer will be sure to keep your friends and family sound asleep while you’re pampering yourself!
2. BaBylissPRO Tourmaline Titanium Travel Dryer
One of the most incredibly compact and lightweight travel hair dryers anywhere on the market, the BaBylissPRO Tourmaline Titanium Travel Dryer is a perfect harmony of form and function. With a compact cone, foldable handle, and dual voltage structure, this hair dryer can fit pretty much anywhere and work pretty much anywhere!
Plus, its titanium construction means its extremely durable – always a plus when you’re constantly packing and repacking your toiletries on vacation! Ready for the cherry on top?
The BaBylissPRO travel hair dryer is engineered to provide gentle yet super-fast drying power, meaning you get to spend more time on your vacation and less stuck in the bathroom!
3. MHU Dual Voltage Foldable Handle Hair Dryer
This dual voltage travel hairdryer from MHU is all about power, performance, and looks – it’s the Chevrolet Corvette of travel hair dryers, basically. With a DC motor, 1875 watt power, and two heat and speed settings, the MHU travel dryer will get your hair looking perfect in next to no time!
Don’t let the massive power scare you, either – the MHU dryer is made with a ceramic-Tourmaline air outlet grill, which keeps hair healthier and less frizzy – the twin pillar goals of any hair dryer, travel or otherwise!
As if it couldn’t get any better, the MHU dual voltage travel hair dryer also puts its money where its mouth is by offering a no-questions-asked one year replacement and two year warranty period!
4. Andis Fold-N-Go Ionic Hair Dryer
Besides bringing tremendous power and drying efficiency, the Andis 1875 Watt Fold-N-Go Ionic Hair Dryer brings a lightweight design and, perhaps most impressively, the latest and greatest in engineering technology.
Its ceramic construction and negative ion propulsion technology produces exceptional results in keeping hair conditioned without sacrificing any care paid to your hair’s health and no-frizz shape. The Andis Fold-N-Go checks off all the other boxes as well, as its retractable cord (like those cool hotel irons!), foldable handle, and sleek silver-and-black finish all result in a stylish, lightweight, and incredibly effective travel hair dryer.
5. Revlon Compact Travel Hair Dryer
Though its light copper color may not be the most attractive design I’ve ever seen, the Revlon 1875 Watt Compact Travel Hair Dryer replaces in performance and value what it lacks in aesthetics many times over. Its worldwide dual voltage compatibility means you can confidently throw the Revlon in your bag whether you’re traveling 10 blocks to the gym or 10 hours to your dream vacation in Europe.
Plus, the lightweight Revlon 1875 Watt travel hair dryer has anti-frizz ceramic coating with ionic propulsion, two heat and two speed buttons to go along with a cool shot feature, and includes a smoothing concentrator attachment so your hair doesn’t blow all over the place. When you have to cough up less than $20 for all these bells and whistles, you know you’re getting one of the best values anywhere on the market.
6. Conair Vagabond Compact Folding Hair Dryer
The Conair Vagabond Compact 1600 Watt Folding Handle Hair Dryer may be the smallest travel hair dryer on this list, but remember, ladies – size doesn’t matter, it’s how you use it that counts!
Plus, the Conair’s foldable handle and lightweight frame (just 17 ounces) means this puppy can be added to pretty much any suitcase and you’ll hardly notice it’s there!
True to its vagabond namesake, the Conair comes replete with a dual voltage structure, meaning this gem of a travel hair dryer will work as hard as you to look great each morning no matter where your vacation takes you!
7. T3 Micro Compact Travel Hair Dryer
This portable hair dryer tops the list for most chic. Although it’s more expensive, I love how functional the T3 micro travel hair dryer is – I can dry my hair in 15 minutes and it weighs nothing, so my arms don’t get tired. Meanwhile, the foldable handle and quiet settings make this hair dryer ideal for travel.
There are just 2 settings, high and low so if you want specific temperature control you might be disappointed. There is a cool setting though, which makes my hair so nice and shiny and is great when you want to “set” your blow dry. Another nice feature is that you can just slide the ‘cool’ button up; you don’t have to hold it down like with some hair dryers. Finally, the T3 micro comes with its own travel tote bag, a 9 foot cord and cord wrap for travel storage. You can purchase a T3 diffuser attachment separately as well.
Overall, this is my pick for best travel size hair dryer for its sleek looks and compact functionality. I have to admit it totally blows most budgets out of the water but I know it will last for ages. It also comes with a 2 year warranty.
