I recently took a trip to Eastern Europe (and a much needed break from work). My first stop was a flight to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia and a gorgeous city. Zagreb was the easiest point to fly into internationally and from the capital, we spent two weeks onwards exploring Dubrovnik, Split, Plitvice, Ljubljana and Lake Bled in Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovin, Montenegro and Venice. It was heavnly! Since my trip happened, Croatia has become a hot destination for Yacht Week so I’m hoping to revisit the country soon.
Check out the stunning yellow color on all these government buildings and museums! I was pretty surprised by the Austrian feel of the city- it felt very similar to walking through Vienna.
After exploring Croatia, we flew to Turkey and stopped over in Ephesus to see the ancient ruins. I wish we had had time for Cappadocia! Looking to visit Croatia? Make sure to read this handy packing list first.
