3 Benefits of Adding a Wet Skin Moisturizer to your Daily Routine

benefits of using a wet skin moisturizer curel hydra therapy reviewAs I’ve grown older, my skin has only gotten drier. I make a concentrated effort to moisturize my face twice a day but with rushed mornings and tight schedules, the skin on the rest of my body gets neglected. Due to a combination of dry skin, stress and who knows what, I’ve had a couple stress rashes and skin flare ups occur throughout my body so I was on the hunt for a a serious fix.

Recently I discovered wet skin moisturizers. It’s a new product out on the market and I was really curious about how the product worked in practice and of course, if they would cure my dry skin itch! The brand I’m currently using is Curel’s Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer and I apply it directly in shower. So far, after about a month of usage, these are just three of amazing benefits that I’ve come to realize by adding a wet skin moisturizer to my morning routine!

3 Benefits of Adding a Wet Skin Moisturizer to your Daily Routine

1 | It Works Immediately and is Extra Hydrating

Initially, I wasn’t sure if I was applying the product correctly since you apply post shower (before stepping out of the tub). The Curel hydra therapy wet skin moisturizer is activated by water – by using it immediately after, your skin cells have a chance to expand and open from the steam and heat. This provides an easy pathway for the wet skin moisturizer to do its magic and deeply penetrating the skin. It might feel as if the moisturizer is coming off, it’s simply sinking deep and you should notice smooth soft skin in just a couple uses. Just towel off once you’re done – no need to wait!

2 | Easy to Apply Formula

Because the formula is designed to work on wet skin, it applies quickly and easily without rubbing and tugging to absorb. The Curel wet skin moisturizer in particular is non greasy and provides immediate relief which feels amazing. Since I’m in the convenience of my tub, I like to apply the moisturizer to my back and feet and I don’t need to worry about making a mess. Just be sure to quickly hose down any excess product off your tiles or tub floor so the next person won’t slip!

3 | Time Saving and Leaves You Glowing

Since you can skip a step by directly applying the wet skin moisturizer without needing to dry off, I’ve found that my morning routine takes the same amount of time but now I get the benefit of added moisture. I also love how smooth and supple it makes my skin feel and the amazing scent leaves me happy and glowing while I’m on a rush out the door!

And there you have it! My initial one month thoughts after trying out Curel’s Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer. I’ve been suffering from skin rashes and irritations this summer as well, which have been further exacerbated by my dry skin, so I’ll be sharing next how Curel performs in helping relieve the dry itch symptoms!

I never cared about creams on my travels but I am realizing slowly how important it is to hydrate the skin, especially if you are on the road. Nice unusual post. Very useful tips and facts!

Curel is my all time favorite hand and body moisturizer. I didn’t realize that they had facial products. This will be my next choice for moisturizer.
