If you’re not a morning person and plan to skip the tuna auction, a trip to Tsukiji Fish Market is still worth it to explore the fresh fish (and other salty creatures) at the inner market stalls and a chance to have an authentic tsukiji sushi breakfast.

I took a few shots while wandering through the market stalls, spying everything from salmon and tuna to octopus, seaweed and fish entrails. The Tsukiji stall operators aren’t a big fan of tourists, so I was careful to keep out of their way and refrained from shoving my camera lens right up the fishes’ gills. I still managed to get some close shots of Tsukiji’s market offerings and spied workers cutting large blocks of ice to keep everything fresh. It was definitely a fun morning!
