I have barely any pictures from my stay and to be honest, remember it the least. I think I spent most of the time walking around and was simply photo’ed out after almost two weeks of traveling and taking pictures. The city is famous for Diocletian’s palace, a summer palace that Roman Emperor Diocletian built as essentially his retirement home. Once it was completed, he abdicated as Roman Emperor and returned to Dalmatia, the Croatian province where he was born. Pretty cool to think he rose through the military ranks to eventually become Emperor of all of Rome!

The last two pictures are artist renditions of what his palace looked like- its a massive stone structure and had an entire southern structure built on the water with great ocean views. Talk about fantastic real estate. Someday… ha
