On New Years Resolutions

I’ve been incorporating is a morning smoothie for breakfast. Smoothie King is one of my favorite places for tasty, protein packed smoothies that can healthily replace a meal. In particular I like their Vanilla Coffee, Almond Mocha and Dark Chocolate Banana flavors. Anything with chocolate or coffee is my immediate go to! The best thing is these smoothies are filling and calorie controlled – none of the Change A Meal smoothies go over 400 calories.

On Exercise

In the evenings, I started incorporating mild exercise again. I’m spectacularly unmotivated to hit the gym as January is the most crowded period so instead, I opt for speed walking through Central Park. My favorite loop is through the reservoir. If I’m in a rush (aka usually), I do the shorter 1.66 mile loop.

Overall, it’s a nice way to wind down the day, take in some fresh air and get active even for just 45 minutes. Make sure that if you replace a meal with the smoothie, especially Smoothie King’s protein packed smoothies, that you’re also adding in some exercise!
