Room 14 (Deluxe King) is very nice and quiet. It's been recently upgraded/refresh from the looks and I would stay in this room again. On the next night, I stayed in a 'superior queen' which was quite a bit different...not very nice and very old school motel. The bed was comfortable though. Great location close to Alhambra theater which was the reason for the stay.

Santa Barbara was absolutely beautiful!!! It was really lush and green there! The wildflowers were blooming everywhere! The mountains and hills were super lush and green and very beautiful! The Botanical Gardens are incredible and are filled with poppies and wildflowers! The Mission, Courthouse, State Street, Stearns Wharf, and Alice Peck Park are all amazing places to visit! The weather was a perfect 73 degrees for most of my trip, until the last day. The people were all very nice and pleasant to deal with. Brophy's, at the Harbor has the best fish and chips that I have ever had!! There were some whales right off of the Harbor that I was privileged to see! There was also an awesome feeding frenzy that brought in hundreds of pelicans and cormorants to dive into the water at the same time!! It was phenomenal to watch. People who have lived in Santa Barbara all of their lives have never seen anything like it!!! It was an absolutely amazing trip!

We visited in February when unknown to us was the film festival, the weather was perfect, town seemed quiet even with film festival which was a bonus, still able to grab tickets. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, lots with outdoor eating with patio heaters. We enjoyed the SB Whale watching trip we did, small exclusive boat made us feel VIPs and saw plenty of humpback whales. Easy to walk around the town, but also easy to drive and explore neighbouring Montecito

For seafood, Lure is amazing!!! Chad's and Cajun Kitchen are great breakfast spots.
If you are there on Sunday, see the Art/Craft Market at the Beach. Lots of amazing stuff and all the vendors are so friendly.
Also, a huge recommendation to Olive Hill Farms in Los Olivos. Great place for oils and vinegars.

Loved the beautiful landscaping and architecture everywhere.
Loved the beautiful landscaping and architecture everywhere. Clean city and easy to navigate while driving but MapQuest misguided me numerous times. Excellent ethnic food restaurants. Lots of choices. I’m recommending “Meet Up” Chinese, “Your Place” Thai and “Masala Spice” Indian foods. Meet Up was first place I’ve ever been served by a robot!!!! Very cool!

Santa Barbara has a lot to offer from beaches to hiking...
Santa Barbara has a lot to offer from beaches to hiking mountain biking to sailing and other outdoor adventures. I would have liked to have more time to explore. Relax at the rose gardens at the mission, hike more, beach sunsets and dinner downtown. Getting around is easy. Biking is fun! I would avoid the traffic in the funk zone on Friday night. Park in a paid lot and walk in is what I recommend. Also check out the Farmer’s market downtown on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings. Wishing everyone a great time!
Everything! Located two blocks from the main Pier and in the heart of the sweet central locale of Santa Barbara! The hotel features artwork all year long that just gave it that extra touch of class and culture! They went the extra mile with all amenities and details in the room, classy, clean and charming! Such an elegant yet charming hotel! There are to lovely outdoor balcony seating areas to lounge and take in the beauty all around! Also there were complimentary bicycles to use! Truly can’t say enough! Stay here!!

~ Lovely warm scones and cookies served in the afternoon and evening.
~ Complete with fantastic hour d’oeuvres served early evening which varied each day and all delicious
~ turn down service each night
~ relaxing place, quiet and peaceful
~ one of the best hotels in California!!
My wife and I had a great 2 night stay here in Nov 22. The hotel is in a very central location right in the middle of State Street, the pedestrianized main street in downtown Santa Barbara. It is surrounded by all the downtown shops, bars and restaurants and a short walk to the Funk Zone, West beach and Stearns Wharf and pier. Although it is very central, it was not noisy. The main hotel entrance is impressive, and our room was large, well equipped and very clean. There is also car parking, which is ideal.
This location is amazing - almost on the beach (you just have to cross one road and you are there!). It has a fun retro vibe, big rooms, fun colors. Do note, there was no AC but they provided an industrial strength fan which was great. Some of the hotel is a bit rough around the edges - some areas could use a repair or two, but you can't beat the location and it is affordable. The pool is heated and is a great place to unwind.
Newly built little hotel on the beachfront of Santa Barbara, part of a larger corporate hotel chain. Everything as expected. Very spacious, clean and fully equipped rooms, thoroughly soundproof. Corporate style ambience, everything in the room brand new. Hotel built in tasteful Mexican style architecture with attention to detail. Excellent service. Within walking distance of Santa Barbara main attractions.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Proximity to the beach and downtown was excellent. Facilities were clean for a motor lodge / motel / inn style property. Free parking (big plus for Santa Barbara!). Wifi worked and had no issues. Excellent coffee by hotel standards. Our Room had a kitchen that accommodated our needs. Heated pool was nice. Replied to all requests / questions via text quickly.
Have stayed in many of the beach-front hotels in SB, and this is the best by some margin. Most are tired old motels that have been jazzed up to one extent or another and charge a fortune for what you actually get. Harbor View is a bit more expensive but much better - a proper 4 star level of furnishing, comfort, etc. I would certainly choose it again.
Lowest priced hotel I could find in Santa Barbara that got good ratings. it was very clean, beds were comfortable and pillows were fluffy. Bathroom sink was outside the toilet/tub area so one of us could use the sink while the other showered. Staff was friendly and the night desk man helped me find a parking space when we got back at midnight.
Rooms were well appointed. Pool and patio area looked very nice but we didn’t use either. We only spent one night and in late and out early. We don’t get much of a chance to employ motels or hotels in Santa Barbara because we have children who have homes there but were unavailable for us to stay.
Great location, close enough to downtown Santa Barbara but not in the busy area so it was nice to have a quiet stay. Area was nice and felt safe. Hotel was clean and staff was nice. Felt it was priced a bit high but it was a holiday weekend. Would definitely stay there again.
Very pleasant "park-like" property right in downtown. Even though a tad expensive, is comparable with everything else in Santa Barbara, and more pleasant than many equivalent or more expensive hotels. Will stay there again next visit. Very clean room and safe surroundings.
We had probably the best room in the inn, 2nd floor facing south with sea view.
Spacious room.
Great personel giving advice what to do do in Santa Barbara
The location, 2 min walk from the beautiful East Beach
Nice pool.
Free parking at the street.
Breakfast included!
Great place to stay!! I would stay there again or use another Motel6 on my experience at this location.
Overall decor of the room was good. Located near the beach and just 15-20 minutes walk from the town centre and Funky area.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The apartments were a bit old but the rooms were clean and quite spacious. The best thing about this motel is its location, that is within walking distance to downtown Santa Barbara!
The architecture of the hotel fits nicely into the post colonial architecture of Santa Barbara. The rooms are standard, but there’s nothing to complain about them. the staff is friendly. The lobby facilities are good.
loved the Californian - honestly came from Santa Monica to Santa Barbara it was like a breath of fresh air !! chalk and cheese - anyway great hotel - good food nearby - great everything ! will come again !
Room was comfortable and breakfast was good. The location was pretty good. It was near the beach, but not on the beach and no beach views. Pretty view of the mountains. The staff was friendly.
