The Ferry Building Marketplace
If you’re interested in doing some shopping while in San Francisco, the Ferry Building Marketplace has a great sample of stalls dedicated to everything from flowers to ceramics, dessert to gourmet cheese and a Blue Bottle coffee spot. I had a lot of fun browsing all the stalls and picked up a ‘tea satchet’ of calming bath salts on a whim. Hey, the packaging looked unique and the salts were designed to ‘relieve muscle cramps and stress’ so it sounded enticing!
If you’re hungry, the Ferry Building Marketplace also has a number of restaurants inside, including the Slanted Door (which looked fancy, fun and phenomenal), Hog Island Oysters (for seafood and outdoor seating views of the waterfront) and Delica (if you’re in the mood for Japanese). Everything looked so good but I haven’t quite conquered the art of dining alone yet so I bypassed all the sit down eateries in favor of a quick bite at the Wooly Pig cafe.
