Everlane Spring Basics

I haven’t done an Everlane round up in a while!

Here are some late winter + early spring items from the brand that I’ve been excited about. They’re all very simple and classic, so you can wear them as part of a capsule wardrobe.

I also filmed a try-on haul if you prefer to see things in video format!

Everlane Review

Everlane Waffle Cardigan

in Heathered Ash, size m

Everlane No Sweat Cardigan Review

I always love a men’s sweater. This simple cardigan is made from organic cotton and recycled polyester.

It comes in a bunch of muted shades and I like the simple v-neck and black buttons. The fit is comfy, slightly oversized (since it’s from the mens section) and an overall great layering piece.

The slubby woven pattern keeps it pretty airy, so this would be a great layering piece over tanks and t shirts in spring (or even in summer when the AC’s blasting!)

Everlane Alpaca Polo Sweater

in Sea Glass, size s

Everlane Alpaca Sweater Review

I love the color and slouchy casual fit of this sweater.

It’s made from alpaca, so it has a kind of thin, loose knit texture. It’s super cozy to wear in the winter, but light enough to continue wearing in spring.

The open polo neck keeps it from looking stuffy, and the slouchy bell sleeves are a nice detail. I love the sea foam green color too! It’s such a muted tone so any gold jewelry would pop, and you can easily wear this casually with jeans and boots or dress it up with a silky skirt and heels.

Everlane Seamless Bra

in Black, size xs/s

Everlane Seamless Bra Review

I’ve been wearing the seamless activewear set nonstop since I got it.

I especially like the bra. It’s made from a thick, stretchy knit fabric that’s super comfortable to wear. I like the slightly thicker straps and v neck in front, but square neck in back.

It’s such a cute bralette that you could wear this to lounge in, workout in, or even to go out in!

Everlane Seamless Legging

in Black, size xs/s

Everlane Seamless Legging Review

The seamless leggings are a thicker pair better suited to light impact workouts or lounging around the house.

They’re high waisted, have a ton of stretch and give to them, and are thick enough to prevent underwear lines. I prefer the Perform leggings to work out in, because they’re thinner, but these are cute to have to match with the seamless bra!

Everlane Italian 80s Wool Blazer

in Dusty Blue, size 0

Everlane 80s Blazer Review

I’m a sucker for anything Teal colored.

So when I saw this gorgeous deep blue green blazer, I had to try it out.

Everlane’s Italian wool blazer is made of 98% wool, with 2% elastane for stretch. When I saw that it was made from wool, I was expecting a heavy men’s style suit jacket but it’s incredibly lightweight and thin, and feels silky smooth.

The exaggerated shoulders give it some fun structure and the small shoulder pads evoke the classic 80s look without going overboard.

I think this is a great oversized blazer for anyone petite. It’s the perfect amount of exaggeration and looseness, without being overwhelming on someone short or with a small torso.

There are also matching pants!

Everlane Gathered Drape Trench

in Khaki Black, size xs

Drape Trench Coat Review

I have Everlane’s drape trench and highly recommend it. It’s the perfect spring coat if you like classic, simple pieces and especially if you work in a corporate environment.

I saw they released an updated Drape Trench in more colors and patterns, and thought the tan and black checkerboard was a fun option.

The trench has a slightly loose A-line silhouette that drapes and flows as you walk, and there’s a belt if you want to cinch it even more at the waist.

I like the check pattern a lot and think this lightweight trench coat would be the perfect statement outer layer over a simple outfit (like a white tee and jeans).

Everlane Long Mac Coat

in Stone, size xs

Everlane Mac Coat Review

I love a trench coat and at this point, have probably way too many.

But, trenches can come in so many fabrics, designs and weights that I find myself reaching for them in summer, fall and winter… so one more trench could add even more versatility!

I liked the utilitarian look of the Mac coat. It’s a long straight coat, almost masculine in style, with a relaxed point collar, storm flaps and clean front. The coat fits pretty oversized and reaches all the way down past the knee.

This trench is super functional too! It’s designed with a water resistant finish and lightweight lining, so you can wear it in rain, wind and sun – perfect for unpredictable spring weather!

Everlane Original Cheeky Jean

in Coal, size 25 regular length

everlane-original-cheeky-jean-review

Original Cheeky Jean Review

Everlane updated their Original Cheeky Jean, so I was curious about the new fit!

I picked it up in Coal after realizing I didn’t own a single pair of true black jeans. I’m a big fan of Everlane’s cheeky style, since they strike a good balance between the fittedness of a skinny jean but the relaxed leg shape of a mom jean.

To be honest – I didn’t notice much difference in the fit, but the brand states the new Cheeky has been tweaked with a higher rise, hooked back seam that lifts the booty and higher, closer set butt pockets.

What was noticeably different was the waist.

These have a slightly looser fit in the waist (I took my usual size in Everlane jeans) and while they don’t gape open, there is a bit of a gap when sitting.

Personally, I don’t mind!

I like when jeans have some give in the waistband, especially when they’re high rise and above the belly button.

These are super comfortable, and strike the perfect balance between a rigid cotton jean and a stretchy jean. I believe that’s due to the new fabric cotent. Everlane uses Roica V550 yarn, a microplastic-free dye and stretch yarn without harmful chemicals.

Highly recommend checking out the updated Cheeky jean!
